About the role

Our roles extend beyond simply offering guests a clean room and freshly made bed. We strive to deliver a memorable and unique experience for each guest. As a Part-Time Room Attendant, you'll maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of guest rooms, ensuring guest satisfaction while upholding our high-quality standards.

Essential factors for success include ensuring a safe work environment, following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, upholding quality standards, and presenting yourself professionally in appearance, uniform, and communication.

This role requires being on your feet for extended periods, actively engaging in tasks that involve standing, sitting, or walking, and taking a hands-on approach (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance).

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing sheets, arranging towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging rooms after guests check out
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and Island Hospitality Management (IHM) standards
  • Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and/or disturbances
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • Effective in handling workplace problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

The number of hours scheduled per week is variable and based on guest occupancy, season, staffing, and other factors. Island Hospitality cannot guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
