Room Attendant - Housekeeping

Job Overview

The Room Attendant position at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Destination by Hyatt, requires maintaining guest room cleanliness and performing various duties. The position is hourly, with rates ranging from $16.00 to $18 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Complete pre-cleaning duties, including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen.
• Greet guests with a warm and friendly greeting.
• Clean guest rooms according to standards within the allotted time frame.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; dust furniture, walls, or equipment.
• Keep all closets clean and neat.
• Replenish chemical bottles.
• Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms.
• Notify managers concerning the need for repairs in guest rooms.
• Process guest items left in rooms according to lost and found policy.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Able to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
