Room Attendant - Full Time

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure health, safety, and comfort of colleagues and guests.
• Clean guest rooms to Company and Forbes standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, wiping down walls, and taking out trash.
• Restock cart with cleaning and sanitization supplies (e.g., cleaning products, mops, wipes, brooms) and replenish chemical bottles.
• Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for safe job completion.
• Clean rooms within the minutes-per-room guideline (approximately 12-15 rooms per shift).
• Turn in all items left in guest rooms to Manager or Security immediately.
• Report missing/found articles or damage needing immediate attention to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Maintain security of master room key; return it at the end of shift.
• Follow Company policy for room amenities (e.g., laundry bags, hangers, blankets, pillows, bath products).
• Conduct detailed inspections (e.g., checking under beds, dusting lights/switches, reporting damages to Engineering).
• Assist with laundry as needed.
• PM Shift Room Attendants: responsible for up to 14 credits of turndown rooms.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to support overall hotel performance.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while delivering personalized guest service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping, laundry, and/or janitorial services (preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, and service-oriented manner.

Physical Demands

• Frequent: Standing and walking during entire shift; kneeling, squatting, and bending constantly; pushing up to 50 lbs; pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 20 lbs; manual dexterity (hands/wrists); exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and odors.
• Occasional: Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens; interacting with guests (speaking, listening, writing).

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $22. Individual salaries will be based on factors such as experience and education.
