Room Attendant

Position Summary

The Company operates 24/7, requiring flexible shifts and compliance with policies and procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction, and safety. Duties also involve reporting emergencies and maintaining cleanliness.

Essential Functions

• Clean and inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back of the house.
• Ensure compliance with proper cleaning techniques, procedures, brand standards, and regulations.
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Promptly report maintenance issues to Engineering through proper channels.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Log items into the Lost and Found and handle inquiries about lost items.
• Attend department meetings and be punctual for work.
• Communicate professionally and positively with guests and colleagues.
• Participate in special projects and committees as needed.
• Report incidents of theft, accidents, or injuries to management.
• Check with manager/supervisor before leaving work area.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications

The Company considers equivalent combinations of education and experience, including high school education or equivalent, one or more years of related experience, and familiarity with hospitality industry practices.

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of housekeeping principles and practices, including proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Attention to details and efficient time management skills.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet legal employment requirements within the jurisdiction.

Physical Effort

Physical work is a primary aspect of the job, performed in an interior hotel environment. Physical requirements include extended periods of standing and walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required with or without corrective lenses.
