About the Role

The room attendant position must demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates. The position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Attend the daily opening of the Housekeeping office as per the rotation.
• Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates.
• Clean assigned guest rooms with adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas are maintained to company standard while in use.
• Stock carts and cart rooms if necessary and/or directed by management.
• Report all maintenance issues directly to the front desk and/or manager.
• Report any guest property that may be leftover in the room directly to the front desk and management.
• Accommodate and assist guest requests whenever possible.
• Ensure guest and associate safety at all times.
• Comply with all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Perform cleaning duties including making beds, vacuuming, mopping, restocking toiletries, washing and ironing sheets, and other general tasks.
• Assist in cleaning any areas of the hotel as assigned by the manager, including but not limited to associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
• Maintain overall hotel cleanliness and perform any other duties as requested by the management team.
• Apply good judgment and follow guidelines, procedures, and company standards at all times.
• Manage the cleanliness of common spaces such as hallways, public restrooms, and the hotel lobby.
• Respond to general inquiries from guests.
• Arrange guest rooms to the hotel’s standard before guests arrive.
• Attend daily department briefing sessions to receive room assignments, special notices, and general hotel information.
• Service rooms as allocated by the Executive Housekeeper to the hotel’s standards.
• Carry out routine and periodic cleaning in allocated areas.
• Practice the correct use and care of all equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and carts.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment immediately.
• Report any damage or wear and tear in working areas.
• Ensure hallways, stairways, and corridors are kept free of obstructions.
• Properly secure and restock equipment at the end of each shift.
• Remove dirty room linens from guest rooms and never leave them in corridors.
• Warmly greet hotel guests whenever encountered within the hotel.
• Replace all guest room supplies and stationery to the required standard.
• Restock linen in each room to the required standard.
• Deliver all lost/found property immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
• Ensure the allocated job of the day is completed in every room on a daily basis.
• Be responsible for any assigned keys or radios.
• Deliver completed worksheets to the Floor Supervisor at the end of each shift.
• Attend training as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Requires candidates to remain on their feet for extended periods.
• Previous experience working in Housekeeping and Hospitality is preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays required.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 30 pounds.
