Essential Functions
- Pick up trash
- Change linen and make the bed
- Clean entire bathroom
- Sweep and dust guest room
- Clean windows and balcony (80% of time)
- Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart
- Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and any priority room requests
- Turn in keys and unused supplies at end of shift
- Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints
- Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems
Non-Essential Functions
- Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance when needed
Knowledge and Skills
- No formal education required
- Prior housekeeping experience desirable
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Must have the ability to clean rooms during an eight-hour working day
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition
- Able to meet standards of appearance
- Can communicate well with guests
