About the role

The Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market, brought to Savannah by Sage Restaurant Concepts, is located within the Perry Lane Hotel in Savannah’s historic district. The Luxury Collection hotel features 167 elegant guest rooms and three lively food‑and‑beverage venues. The Emporium offers interactive wine experiences, knowledgeable staff, and refined food‑and‑beverage menus made with high‑quality ingredients. The Food & Beverage team seeks welcoming, creative, and polished team members who are passionate about creating magnetic, hospitable memories.

Responsibilities

• Keep all bar/lounge equipment and supplies at proper levels throughout all hours of operation.
• Ensure bar areas are set up properly for lounge opening.
• Maintain the bar and lounge areas in a neat and orderly condition at all times.
• Assist bartenders by regularly checking ashtrays, cocktail napkins, empty glasses, and overall cleanliness.
• Replenish ice as needed or requested.
• Ensure bartenders have sufficient supplies throughout the shift.
• Assist bartenders and cocktail servers according to the activity schedule or as required.
• Operate glasswashers, place clean glassware in its proper location, and monitor inventory.
• Sweep and mop behind all bar areas at the end of each shift, removing, cleaning, and replacing matting each time.

Requirements

• Education/Formal Training: None required.
• Experience: Cleaning and stocking experience preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills:
  • Minimal hearing ability required.
  • Good vision to see items and areas to stock, clean, and use proper supplies.
  • Effective speech skills.
  • Literacy and comprehension to identify proper stock items and record usage.
• Physical Demands:
  • Repeated bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 lb.
  • Ability to identify proper supplies.
  • Repeated lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lb (cases of liquor, glasses, trash, cans, mopping, sweeping).
  • Bending/kneeling required to clean and stock bar areas.
  • Ability to mop and sweep, lift items above head, and bend to pick up items.
  • Continuous standing while stocking and cleaning bar and lounge areas.
• Environment: Physically strenuous with prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying throughout the entire shift.
