Responsibilities

  • Assist in locating leaks and performing professional quality roof repairs in a safe and timely manner.
  • Treat customers and fellow employees with courtesy and respect.
  • Complete defined scope projects and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of company-issued equipment (vehicles, power tools, phones, hand tools, etc.).
  • Maintain trucks to ensure they are always stocked and cleaned inside and out.
  • Utilize industry-standard manufacturer-approved repair techniques.
  • Complete daily assignments in a timely manner with proper paperwork.
  • Remove clutter on roof and maintain a clean and neat work area.
  • Transport hot tar from kettle to work area.
  • Clean and maintain roofing equipment.
  • Cover and secure material and equipment on roof.
  • Clean and maintain dump and staging area on ground.
  • Keep debris away from roof.
  • Group and properly stage materials.
  • Spud, seal, and maintain tie-ins.
  • Properly prepare and prime surfaces.
  • Safely dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Place plates and screws in proper locations.
  • Cover equipment and materials as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings—people, hazards, and scopes of work.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Successful pre-employment drug and agility tests.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs or more.
  • Successful background check.
  • Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions and high temperatures.
  • Capable of bending over most of the day and working on knees excessively.
  • Able to pass a government background check per project requirements.
  • Knowledge of basic roofing tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required. 2 years of commercial roofing service technician experience preferred.

Schedule

Full time onsite.
