We are looking for a Roofing Service Technician with a strong work ethic and basic knowledge of construction or roofing. We provide extensive paid training to develop your skills in commercial roofing, including repairs, repair recommendations, evaluations, and preventative maintenance for low-slope roofing systems.
About the role
You will work directly with clients daily, requiring professionalism, strong communication, and a presentable demeanor. This role involves driving a company vehicle to client sites and performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on commercial roofs.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety protocols on the job and while driving
- Inspect problem roofs, perform repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance
- Communicate clearly and persuasively in all situations; listen and respond effectively to questions
- Complete tasks on time and follow management direction
- Drive a company vehicle to clients’ buildings daily
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant roofing or construction experience, or military experience
- Valid Driver’s License (REQUIRED)
- 21 years of age or older (REQUIRED to drive company vehicle)
- High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
- Ability to travel out of town for up to 4 weeks at a time when local work is unavailable (REQUIRED)
- Ability to work overtime in emergency situations and weekends as needed
- Effective communication in written and verbal English
Physical Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day
- Frequently ascend/descend ladders from 10 to 40 feet in height
- Remain in a stationary position for extended periods
- Work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Load and unload materials and equipment from varying heights
- Shovel loose materials such as gravel, sand, metal, snow, or dirt
Pay
$23.00–$29.00 per hour, based on experience. On average, Service Technicians earn $77,000+ per year.
Schedule
Forty or more hours per week, with 10–15 hours of overtime pay per week.
