Roofing Service Tech

About the role

We are seeking a Roofing Service Technician to join our organization. Ideal candidates possess a strong work ethic, basic knowledge of construction or roofing, and a desire to become a commercial roofing professional. Extensive paid training will be provided to learn how to make repairs, perform evaluations, and conduct Roofing Preventative Maintenance on low slope roofing systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols on the job and while driving
• Inspect problem roofs, perform repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance
• Communicate clearly and persuasively in various situations; listen and clarify; respond well to questions
• Be dependable, completing tasks on time; follow instructions and respond to management direction
• Drive a company vehicle to clients' buildings daily

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant roofing or construction experience, or military experience
• Driver’s License (REQUIRED)
• 21 years of age or older (REQUIRED to drive company vehicle)
• High school diploma, or equivalent (REQUIRED)
• Able to travel out of town for up to 4 weeks at a time, when local work is not available (REQUIRED)
• Able to work overtime in emergency situations
• Able to communicate effectively through written correspondence and verbally in English

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis throughout the day
• Capable of ascending/descending ladders from 10 to 40’ in height frequently
• Able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
• Works in varying extreme weather conditions (extreme hot and extreme cold weather)
• Loads and unloads material and equipment and materials from variant heights
• Shovels loose materials such as gravel, sand, metal, snow, or dirt

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Proficiency in lifting and moving heavy objects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

$23.00- $29.00 per hour (pay is based on experience; on average our Service Technicians make $77,000+ per year)

Schedule

Forty or more hours per week (with overtime work and pay of 10-15 hours per week)
