What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary field representative between homeowners, installation crews, suppliers, and the office.
  • Ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
  • Oversee residential roofing projects from material delivery through final completion.
  • Verify all delivered materials are accurate and sufficient before work begins.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings with installation crews.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with homeowners throughout the project.
  • Perform quality control inspections during every phase of construction.
  • Identify and correct installation issues before they become costly problems.
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and company quality standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers when additional materials or corrections are needed.
  • Complete a detailed Project Manager Checklist for every project.
  • Conduct the final walkthrough with the homeowner and obtain their signed project completion checklist.
  • Upload all required photos, documentation, and reports promptly upon project completion.
  • Immediately report warranty concerns, property damage, safety issues, or customer concerns to management.

Project Documentation

  • Thoroughly document every project with photographs of property before construction.
  • Document material delivery, tear-off, roof decking and decking repairs, ice & water shield installation (when applicable), underlayment installation, flashing installation, starter shingles, shingle installation, ridge cap and ventilation, pipe boots, skylights, and specialty details.
  • Document completed roof, final cleanup, magnetic nail sweep, finished property, and any additional repairs or unforeseen conditions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in residential roofing, construction management, or roofing inspections preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt shingle roofing systems, flashing, ventilation, and manufacturer installation requirements.
  • Ability to identify installation deficiencies and ensure corrective action.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and walking roofs of varying pitches.
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Proficient with smartphones and tablets for digital reporting and photo documentation.
