Essential Job Duties
- Instructional Content Development & Quality Assurance:
- Contribute to evolving frameworks (e.g., transitioning from age-specific to continuum models of instruction across age groups).
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define learning goals and develop narratives aligned with research and instructional intent (e.g., the Alliance project, webinar-based courses).
- Write clear, engaging content for Cox Campus.
- Use authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), or similar software to build digital learning assets.
- Video Production & Editing:
- Edit video footage into video-based and/or webinar-based courses that communicate Rollins' overall message of literacy and justice for all and align with organizational goals.
- Create, review, and replicate graphics, including animation for video coursework aligned to the learning objectives of the course.
- Leverage expertise in post-production editing, including but not limited to color-correcting.
- Video Management And Filming Coordination:
- Develop, in collaboration with Instructional Designers, the master video plan across all courses in development.
- Implement the master video plan with assigned videographers.
- Identify and coach talent.
- Cook up and manage Media Asset Management (MAM) system to support accurate filing/storage.
- Serve as the team lead on MAM to support the content team with video selection.
- Collaboration And Communication:
- Collaborate regularly with external partners or SMEs, and internal teams, including other members of the content team, field teams (B-5 and K–5), Tech Ops team, and leadership.
- Professional Development And Research:
- Have a working knowledge of literacy, child development, and reading science research through newsletters, podcasts, and other media.
- Attend professional conferences that provide support in developing digital assets (e.g., writing workshops, technology conferences).
