ROLLER DIE OPERATOR
About the role
The Roller Die Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring roller die equipment used in the rubber mixing and manufacturing process while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety.
Essential Functions
- Operate and monitor roller die equipment through a computerized control panel.
- Manage slurry application and monitor product quality.
- Set up and adjust embossing wheels and related equipment.
- Follow compound quality procedures and manufacturing specifications.
- Complete required shift inspection and check sheets.
- Collect production samples for laboratory testing.
- Operate related production equipment and perform startup/shutdown procedures.
- Report safety, quality, and equipment concerns promptly.
- Maintain housekeeping and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and efficiency
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Certification or ability to obtain PIV/hoist certification
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (team lift required when necessary)
- Ability to stand and work in a physically demanding environment
- Must wear required PPE at all times
