Roll-Off Truck Driver (Atlanta)

About the role

Local Roll-Off Truck Drivers service commercial and industrial accounts across the Atlanta area, transporting organic materials, compost, waste, and related materials between customer locations and disposal or processing sites. Accounts include housing complexes, stadiums, recycling centers, office parks, and similar.

Responsibilities

• Safe placement of containers and compactors, ensuring customer sites are left clean and accessible
• Communicating any service issues or site constraints
• Pre- and post-trip safety/vehicle inspections
• Securing loads
• Completing service documentation
• Maintaining a clean and organized vehicle
• Navigating tight or complex service locations with strong spatial awareness and problem-solving skills

Requirements

• Valid CDL (Class A or B) with air brake endorsement
• Experience operating roll-off trucks or front load trucks in tight urban environments required
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, DOT physical, and criminal background check required
• Clean driving record
• Operation of vehicles in accordance with CompostNow safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements, and local, state, and federal laws
• Commitment to safety
• Tech-capable; able to learn and consistently use company technology (e.g., route management apps, electronic logs, internal communication tools) to complete routes, record service data, and communicate with the team
