Roll Off Driver

About the role

Waste Connections seeks a Roll‑Off Driver to operate roll‑off trucks, pick up and drop off containers at customer locations, and ensure safe transport of various waste loads. The position offers local routes with daily home time, a 4:00 AM start, and a supportive culture built on respect, autonomy, trust, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate a roll‑off truck to pick up and drop off containers at customer locations
• Safely tarp, secure, and transport various types of waste loads
• Navigate tight alleys, commercial sites, landfills, and transfer stations
• Follow route sheets and communicate with dispatch as needed
• Perform pre‑ & post‑trip inspections (fluids, brakes, tires, safety equipment)
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Assist with other operational duties as required

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL
• No restrictions (must be able to operate manual & automatic trucks)
• Clean driving record

Qualifications

Roll‑off or similar heavy‑truck experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong commitment to safety and customer service
• Ability to work outdoors and handle physically demanding tasks

Pay

$25.00 per hour with overtime opportunities available.

Schedule

Local routes – home daily; start time 4:00 AM.
