Roll Off Driver

Responsibilities

• Transportation of hazardous waste from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility in compliance with DOT, HAZMAT, and RCRA regulations.
• Communicate regularly with coordinators regarding daily times and demurrage.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.).
• Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of company equipment.
• Maintain daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
• Maintain and clean assigned company equipment as well as ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Class A CDL License, required.
• No restriction on CDL License, required.
• TWIC, required.
• Clean/Safe driving record.

Skills

• Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training, and essential experience gained on other jobs.
• Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
• Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A, and other requirements of company’s driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business.
• Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
• 1+ year(s) of experience driving a roll-off vehicle.
