Roll Covering Operator

About the role

Apply your expertise in new ways to continue on the path of growth as a Roll Cover Operator in Clarks Summit, PA. This position is responsible for preparation, application, and repair of paper machine roll covers at our Clarks Summit location.

Responsibilities

• Setup and machine calibration
• Recovering of customers’ machine rolls
• Oven operation
• Draining and filling tanks and vessels
• Patching poly covers in plant or at the customer’s facility by carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Handling solvents for cleaning and maintaining machinery and customer equipment
• Transferring waste from dispenser to containers for proper disposal

Requirements

• A high school education
• Previous manufacturing experience; ideally a minimum of three to five years
• A solid understanding of the manufacturing environment
• A strong mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to work with and train candidates with a high level of initiative and personal motivation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of papermaking machinery is a plus but not required
