About the role

As a Night Stocker, you'll join a dynamic team in the Grocery or Drug Store department, fostering teamwork, and embracing the nighttime work culture. You'll gain valuable insights into various products and departments, setting a foundation for potential career growth at H-E-B.

Responsibilities

• Stocks shelves and refills displays
• Lifts, unloads, and moves heavy, bulky products; unloads trucks
• Conditions shelves and products
• Learns and applies product knowledge, focusing on details like rotation dates and shelf labeling
• Ensures the department is clean and organized (including back rooms and shelves)
• Complies with SOPs and leader direction, maintaining personal discipline
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and company regulations for product safety and sanitation
• Works efficiently and collaboratively with a team, adhering to productivity standards
• Takes constructive feedback and applies it to future tasks
• May coach or train other Stockers
• Operates with a team mindset, cross-functionally within the Store, and builds relationships across departments
• Models customer service and hospitality, interacting with both customers and store partners
• Aids customers in locating products and answering questions

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Age: 18+
• Experience: Stocking and customer service (preferred), physically demanding job experience (plus)
• Skills: Understanding of SOPs, communication, organization, time management, customer service, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and manage heavier loads as needed

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Work in a fast-paced, demanding Store environment, paying close attention to detail
• Exposure to cold, loud noise, ambient temperatures, and wet conditions
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, depending on the department
