Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, maintenance, and performance of Prime Robotics' automation systems at customer sites.
- Work closely with internal engineering teams and customers to ensure robotic systems operate at peak efficiency.
- Monitor robot fleets to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve electromechanical issues including motors, sensors, wiring, and control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues within robotic systems and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on robotic systems.
- Identify and resolve automation issues quickly to minimize downtime for customers.
- Work directly with customers to resolve operational issues in warehouse environments.
- Assist the sales team by supporting on-site demonstrations of robotic systems.
- Document system performance data and generate technical reports.
- Provide feedback to engineering teams on product performance and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and document all system repairs.
- Administer Linux-based systems including Ubuntu environments, shell tools, and system interfaces.
- Use SQL queries and diagnostic tools to analyze system performance when required.
Requirements
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons).
- Hands-on mechanical repair experience with motors, actuators, and mechanical assemblies.
- Comfortable working with computer-based diagnostic software.
- Ability to analyze technical problems and develop practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills when working with customers and engineering teams.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable working in warehouse and shop environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites (up to 30%).
Qualifications
- Nice to have: PLC programming or controls engineering, Linux administration or scripting experience, Warehouse Management System (WMS) familiarity, Lithium battery maintenance experience, Basic networking knowledge, Database experience including MySQL queries.
