Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and performance of Prime Robotics' automation systems at customer sites.
  • Work closely with internal engineering teams and customers to ensure robotic systems operate at peak efficiency.
  • Monitor robot fleets to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve electromechanical issues including motors, sensors, wiring, and control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve software issues within robotic systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on robotic systems.
  • Identify and resolve automation issues quickly to minimize downtime for customers.
  • Work directly with customers to resolve operational issues in warehouse environments.
  • Assist the sales team by supporting on-site demonstrations of robotic systems.
  • Document system performance data and generate technical reports.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on product performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and document all system repairs.
  • Administer Linux-based systems including Ubuntu environments, shell tools, and system interfaces.
  • Use SQL queries and diagnostic tools to analyze system performance when required.

Requirements

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons).
  • Hands-on mechanical repair experience with motors, actuators, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Comfortable working with computer-based diagnostic software.
  • Ability to analyze technical problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills when working with customers and engineering teams.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent documentation practices.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
  • Comfortable working in warehouse and shop environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites (up to 30%).

Qualifications

  • Nice to have: PLC programming or controls engineering, Linux administration or scripting experience, Warehouse Management System (WMS) familiarity, Lithium battery maintenance experience, Basic networking knowledge, Database experience including MySQL queries.
