In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain production-grade robotics software spanning perception, localization and mapping, planning, controls, and system integration to improve autonomy, safety, and uptime in real-world environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ship robotics features from design through deployment, including autonomy logic, tooling, and observability
• Build and maintain ROS/ROS2 packages, interfaces, and launch configurations for multi-sensor stacks
• Implement and tune SLAM, localization, and navigation pipelines using sensor fusion and state estimation
• Design motion planning and control loops (e.g., PID/MPC) for stable and safe robot movement
• Integrate hardware drivers and embedded interfaces for cameras, encoders, IMUs, and motor controllers
• Create simulation and test harnesses (SIL/HIL) to validate fixes and reduce regressions
• Define benchmarks and regression tests for accuracy, latency, and safety constraints
• Collaborate remotely with QA, operations, and field teams to diagnose incidents and improve reliability

Required Qualifications

• Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics/automation systems in production
• Strong C++ and Python skills for real-time robotics development and tooling
• Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience, including debugging distributed systems and timing
• Foundations in kinematics, dynamics, controls, and estimation (e.g., Kalman filtering)
• Experience with SLAM, motion planning, trajectory generation, and robotics simulation workflows
• Ability to work remotely with clear written communication and strong ownership

Preferred Qualifications

• Mobile robotics experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or field robotics
• Computer vision and perception evaluation (calibration, tracking, depth sensing)
• Safety-minded design, fail-safes, and risk assessment for autonomous systems
• CI/CD, automated testing, and reproducible builds for robotics software

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $30–$50/hour (USD), depending on experience and fit.
