Position Purpose
The Robot Programmer develops, maintains and improves robotic welding programmes across the Fabrication team, including FANUC, IGM and KUKA systems. The role supports production, new-product introduction, fault recovery and continuous improvement.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Develop, modify and optimize robotic welding programmes across FANUC, IGM and KUKA systems.
- Provide programming and technical support for robotic welding equipment throughout the Fabrication department.
- Troubleshoot robot faults and production issues to minimize downtime and restore equipment safely.
- Create and improve weld paths, sequences, touch-sensing routines and robot movements.
- Support robot programming and process validation for new-product introductions and engineering changes.
- Improve welding quality, cycle time, equipment reliability and process consistency.
- Maintain controlled programme backups, revision records and supporting technical documentation.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Maintenance and Quality to resolve robotic welding and fabrication issues.
- Support the commissioning and production launch of new robotic welding cells and automation equipment.
- Train Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance personnel in programme recovery, fault finding and controlled adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum three years' experience programming and troubleshooting industrial robots within a manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience with robotic welding systems, preferably including FANUC, IGM or KUKA equipment.
- Working knowledge of welding processes, robot safety, fault recovery and programme optimization.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and technical documentation.
- Ability to support Fabrication production across shifts, including planned weekend or shutdown work when required.
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in robotics, automation, welding, electrical engineering or a related technical field.
- Five or more years' experience programming industrial robots within a fabrication or welding environment.
- Experience programming multiple robot platforms, particularly FANUC, IGM and KUKA.
- Experience commissioning robotic welding cells and supporting new-product introduction.
- Knowledge of offline programming, PLC interfaces, industrial networks and robotic vision systems.

Pay
Position Type: Full Time, Exempt
Schedule
Onsite: 2000 Bamford Blvd Pooler, GA 31322. Must be able to work flexible schedule, including Friday - Sunday 6am - 6pm.
