Principal Accountabilities
- System Safety:
- Understand and follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out Procedures, Confined Space Procedures, and General Plant and Department Safety Procedures.
- Suggest safety system improvements to supervisor and technical staff.
- Identify and report safety problems to supervisor and technical staff.
- System Operation:
- Basic System Operation: Load/Unload Part, Replace Consumables, Scan Part/Lot and Operation Sequence, Start Program, Part Inspection, Run Tool Center Point (TCP) Program.
- Basic understanding of total system function.
- Ability to trace issue to major peripheral system.
- Maintain production process based on defined criteria in Technique Card(s).
- Basic Troubleshooting:
- Determine sub-system that is causing system failure.
- Intermediate Robot Troubleshooting: Jog Robot, HOME Robot, Identify and Recover Robot Faults.
- Intermediate Vision System Troubleshooting: Identify and Recover System Failure.
- Intermediate Process Troubleshooting: Identify conditions that caused process failure.
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Provide feedback to supervisor and technical staff.
- Area Cleanliness:
- Keep work area free of debris.
- Verify tool boards are properly maintained.
- Report any issues to supervisor or technical staff.
- Communication:
- Provide fault recovery feedback to operators.
- Communicate with supervisor or technical staff on suggestions to improve system performance or solve system issues.
- Absorb and assist maintenance staff with system operation when necessary.
- Complete logs and records.
- Prior robotic experience strongly preferred but not required.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to read and interpret Technique Cards, routings, and other special instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to resolve problems and share information with others.
- Ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to perform the essential job functions including lifting or maneuvering objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in difficult working conditions, which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and other elements for extended periods of time.
