Job Overview/Summary
The Robotic Nursing Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care within the robotic and surgical services environment. This role oversees 24-hour staffing coverage, supports clinical excellence, and serves as a key liaison among patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Determine staffing needs and create schedules to ensure 24-hour coverage of patient care services.
- Supervise patient assignments and allocate nursing staff based on patient acuity, care needs, and staff skill mix.
- Serve as a clinical consultant to patients, families, department staff, physicians, and other hospital departments.
- Collaborate with leadership to troubleshoot clinical and operational issues.
- Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of operating room and robotic nursing staff.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver clinical education, including orientation for new hires and ongoing staff development.
- Provide guidance and support to students and faculty in clinical settings.

Qualifications
- Minimum Required:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- CPR certification within three (3) months of hire
- Completion of professional certification in the relevant specialty as soon as eligible (typically after two years in the specialty)
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or evidence of planned completion within two (2) years
