Robot Operator

HireArt is helping a global leader in AI development find Robot Operators to support the collection of high-quality data used to train next-generation AI and robotics models.

About the role

In this role, you'll work hands-on with robotic arms to perform repetitive manipulation tasks and collect and organize training data. You'll also support engineers and researchers by monitoring data quality, maintaining lab equipment, and helping improve day-to-day data collection processes. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on tasks for extended periods. You have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and are able to stay focused and consistent throughout an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic arms to perform tasks such as sorting, assembling, and moving everyday objects.
• Capture and label data, including video, sensor readings, and 3D scans, for AI and robotics training.
• Monitor data quality, identify issues, and communicate findings to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain lab hardware and equipment while supporting safe and efficient daily operations.

Requirements

• Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and Google Docs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and established processes
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks using everyday household items to support robotics model training
• Comfort working hands-on with robotics hardware and equipment
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to work onsite and follow established equipment and safety procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to wear and carry a 5 lb backpack for up to 8 hours during a shift
• Ability to perform repetitive, hands-on tasks for extended periods
