About the role
The Robot Field Operator is responsible for performing in-field robotic inspections, operating robotic inspection equipment, maintaining equipment, and supporting the team.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-field robotic inspections at the customer site in support of the Gecko Operations Lead and customer timeline.
- Operate robotic inspection equipment and ensure data integrity in an industrial environment.
- Maintain robotic equipment including repair, cleaning, and others while not in the field.
- Solicit and relay customer and product feedback for the purposes of improving quality and scope of services.
- Complete trip reports, expense reports, and other paperwork covering activities in the field.
- Support Robot/Field AUT Specialists, both in the field and in the shop.
- Perform other activities as directed.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in oil and gas or similar industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience working with electrical and mechanical devices/tools.
- Hardworking, self-starter, confident, and highly ethical personality.
- Positive attitude, good attention-to-detail, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn from everything, including failure.

- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid TWIC card.
- Willingness to learn and grow within Gecko.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Ability to carry 50 pounds, for a distance up to 100 feet.
- Ability to climb stairs while carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and/or pull up to 50 pounds consistently, for periods up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and/or crawl repetitively.
- Ability to wear a respirator.
