As a Roadway Project Manager in Florida, you’ll oversee and manage roadway and highway design projects across FDOT Districts 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7, as well as Florida Turnpike Enterprise initiatives. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative, sustainable solutions that enhance transportation networks and improve mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Manager for highway and bridge design projects, including operational and safety improvements.
  • Lead technical teams in developing solutions to complex roadway design challenges, requiring innovation and ingenuity.
  • Provide technical expertise by formulating and developing advanced design concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Ensure effective utilization of engineering personnel while maintaining high technical quality standards.
  • Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to secure new projects and expand client relationships, particularly within FDOT Districts 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and Florida Turnpike Enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Current Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with the ability to serve as Engineer of Record (EOR).
  • Significant post-graduate experience in transportation and highway engineering, including leading and managing roadway design projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), particularly within Districts 2, 4, 5, 6, and/or 7, as well as on Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) projects.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and successfully deliver complex roadway projects in compliance with FDOT standards, requirements, and schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of FDOT project development processes, design criteria, and roadway design standards across multiple districts.
  • Track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with FDOT personnel, clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $225,000.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
