Roadway Programs Manager 1
Description of Work
In this position, you will support the district by managing roadway programs that guide maintenance, planning and system coordination. You will help ensure that county organizations use their tools and resources effectively to support safe and dependable transportation services. As a Roadway Programs Manager 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Program Oversight: Review and guide maintenance programs to support consistent planning and operations across the district
- System Coordination: Manage PM, SRM and SAP activities to help counties follow procedures and meet program requirements
- Data Review: Examine information on personnel, equipment and materials to identify trends and recommend improvements
- County Support: Provide guidance to counties by helping them plan, schedule and budget their roadway work programs
- Inventory Management: Lead districtwide inventory monitoring by ensuring reports and audits meet policy standards
- Staff Leadership: Direct and evaluate staff while supporting training, performance reviews and workflow planning
Qualifications Required
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor or Roadway Programs Specialist or one year experience as a Roadway Programs Coordinator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of professional experience in the analysis, development and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or in a civil engineering related discipline; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
