Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Skilled Crew (Roadway) Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in the Houston, TX area during the day shift, mid shift, and night shift. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, signs, guardrail and/or drainage and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform highway maintenance tasks including signs, guardrail, and/or drainage work.
• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, and various small hand tools.
• Roadway maintenance experience (preferred).
• CDL license a plus.
• Experience operating Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc.
• Familiarity with air compressor operations.
• Construction or roadway maintenance experience.
• Guardrail and sign installation experience.
• Concrete forming/repair experience.
• MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses).
• Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required.
• Clean driving record essential.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Maintain company standards for background checks (criminal record, driving record, controlled substance/drug testing).
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
