Roadway Engineer

We are currently searching for an experienced Roadway Engineer to support our Southeast Region located in Tampa, FL. To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a BS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. What You’ll Be Doing Familiarity with calculating plans quantities and engineering estimates, developing construction specifications, and coordinating with subconsultantsLeading or assisting in the development of project designs and to successfully execute and deliver project work, while implementing client focused strategiesApplying established and well-defined engineering techniques, procedures, policies, or standardsPrepares and modifies reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for projectsWork as part of a team to deliver a range of transportation and civil design projectsParticipates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team membersAttends appropriate team meetingsApplies standard practices and techniques to accomplish work assignmentsUnderstands and adheres to assigned phase and task schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projectAdheres to company standards for quality assurance and quality control as defined in the quality manual What You Need To Have BS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university5 - 10 years relevant experience in roadway design Must have proven skills in meeting FDOT expectations, schedules and budgets FDOT experience is preferred PE is preferred or must be able to obtain within 1 year, FE is required Experienced in FDOT design methods, plan preparation, standards, and specifications Proficient with MicroStation, experience with OpenRoads DesignerStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
