Roadway Designer II
- .
Requirements: Might be education/experience etc. The posting has "What We Are Looking For:" which includes: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required. E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred. Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products. Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects. Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks. The position may include the need to perform Field Inspection and may require travel to project sites. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.) Detailed, and organized individual who thrives in environments that are deadline driven. 3+ years of experience preferred.
We could split into Requirements (education, experience) and Qualifications (certifications) and Skills (technical). But we have headings: Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We need to decide what goes where.
Typically: Requirements = education, experience. Qualifications = certifications, licenses. Skills = technical/soft skills.
Thus:
Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required. 3+ years of experience preferred.
Qualifications: E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.
Skills: Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products. Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects. Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.) Detailed, and organized individual who thrives in environments that are deadline driven. The position may include the need to perform Field Inspection and may require travel to project sites.
But travel could be part of responsibilities? It's more a requirement/condition. We'll keep under Skills or maybe Requirements? It's a condition; could be under Requirements as "Willingness to travel to project sites". But we already have willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks. Travel is similar. We'll include under Skills.
Benefits: The "Why Benesch" section lists: Career growth that’s real with leadership development, training, and clear paths forward. Strong financial future with up to 9% retirement contribution for benefit-eligible employees. Flexibility that works with schedules that support your life. Time to recharge with generous paid time off and parental leave for benefit-eligible employees. Support beyond work through mentorship, hands-on experience, and opportunities to make an impact from day one. Also "Explore our full benefits here: Click here" - that's a link, but we should not include application instructions? It's a link to benefits; but it's basically a reference. We could include the benefits description but not the link. The instruction says remove application instructions; this is not exactly application instruction but a link to benefits. Might be okay to keep description but not the link. We'll include the benefit points as list.
Pay: Not mentioned. So we should NOT include Pay section.
Schedule: Not mentioned. So we should NOT include Schedule section.
Thus we will output sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits.
We need to ensure we don't include filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
Now format: Use
- .
We need to preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail.
Let's craft.
About the role: combine company description and role description? Might be two paragraphs. We'll put as
maybe two
elements. Content: "Simply Put, A Great Place to Work Benesch is a growing, multi-disciplined planning, engineering, and professional services firm. We enhance infrastructure and communities across the country – creating spaces and providing connections in ways that make a difference. We pride ourselves on being nimble enough to remain responsive to client needs yet large enough to offer exceptional bench strength. As a member of our team, you’ll have an opportunity to draw from those resources when you need them and, likewise, contribute your expertise when you have something to share. At Benesch, we are looking for candidates with varied backgrounds and worldviews. We are committed to offering an inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Statistics show that women and underrepresented groups are less likely to apply for a position if they don’t meet 100% of the qualifications. If this statement resonates with you, don’t be so hard on yourself—apply for the job!" Then role description: "Civil-Roadway Designer II Join our growing Civil team as a Civil Designer. In this role you will work on various transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies." We could combine into one paragraph but it's okay. Responsibilities: list as above. Requirements: list: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required. 3+ years of experience preferred. Qualifications: E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred. Skills: list items. Benefits: list items. Make sure not to include boilerplate like EEO etc. Now produce HTML fragment. Check for any repeated lines: The posting had "Explore our full benefits here: Click here" - we will omit that line. Also "Whether you’re starting your career or bringing years of experience, you’ll have the support and exposure to grow here." That's part of Why Benesch? Actually it's after benefits list. It's a statement about support. Could be included in Benefits or About the role? It's about support and growth. Could be part of Benefits? It's not a benefit per se but more about career growth. We already have career growth in Benefits. Might include as separate sentence in Benefits paragraph. But we can include as a
under Benefits? The instruction: Use
for prose. So we could have a
for that sentence. But we need to decide where to place. The "Why Benesch" section includes bullet points then a sentence: "Whether you’re starting your career or bringing years of experience, you’ll have the support and exposure to grow here." That's a prose statement about support. Could be part of Benefits or maybe About the role? I'd put it under Benefits as a prose
after the list. Thus Benefits section:
- ... etc
Whether you’re starting your career or bringing years of experience, you’ll have the support and exposure to grow here.
Now ensure we didn't include any filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. Now produce final HTML. Let's write:About the role
