About the role

Lead transformative transportation projects and build your legacy with DRMP. As a Roadway Design Project Manager, you will drive innovative roadway solutions across Georgia, shaping communities, mentoring talent, and growing your career in a purpose-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of transportation infrastructure improvement projects of varying complexity across Georgia.
  • Provide professional engineering design services for transportation improvement projects, including:
    • New location corridors
    • Roadway widening
    • Bicycle and pedestrian facilities
    • Highway safety enhancements
    • Intersections and interchanges
    • Design-build projects
  • Guide projects through all phases—from advanced planning to final design and construction support—while collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, on-budget solutions.
  • Oversee development of construction plans, specifications, estimates, and detailed engineering calculations.
  • Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Direct and mentor design support staff, fostering technical growth and alignment.
  • Conduct engineering investigations and feasibility analyses using collected data.
  • Evaluate alternative design solutions and contribute to critical decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Georgia PE license.
  • 10-15+ years of roadway design experience; GDOT experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO and State DOT design standards.
  • Management acumen, including budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction, and staff management.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and commitment to team success.
