Roadway Design Co-op Student - Infrastructure (Fall 2026)

Our Transportation group provides comprehensive planning, design, and engineering services for all phases of roadway, bridge, and multi-modal projects for public and private clients. Stantec is seeking a Roadway Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in the Raleigh, NC office. This role offers a unique opportunity to support our expanding roadway group alongside structural, planning, and traffic disciplines.
Ideal candidates are currently pursuing a BSCE in civil engineering, with a foundational understanding of highway geometric design and construction. Curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and designers across all experience levels to deliver high-quality plans to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Gather project data and perform routine calculations
- Prepare and assemble reports and drawings
- Assist with design projects utilizing OpenRoads Designer
- Observe and attend meetings with design team, and other project stakeholders
- Other related tasks as assigned
Capabilities and Credentials
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Literacy in OpenRoads Designer is an asset
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction
- Ability to work independently
- Must have a good driving record, and valid driver’s license
Education and Experience
In progress towards earning a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field (#Student)
