Roadside Technician Commercial Tires - Whitsett, NC

About the role

The role of the Roadside Technician position in our company is to serve as an emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer experiences a tire-related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer’s location to repair or replace the tire. This requires being available to respond to emergencies at any time.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency tire failures
• Mount and dismount tires
• Perform match mounting and radial runout as necessary
• Inflate tires to prescribed pressure levels
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety guidelines
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and commercial driver’s qualification
• At least 21 years of age
• Likely to be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous commercial service tire experience preferred

Skills

• Servicing commercial tires
• Disassembly and assembly of tires
• Mounting and dismounting tires
• Repairing tires as necessary
• Ensuring tire inflation to correct pressure levels
• Adhering to OSHA safety standards

Pay

Starting pay for the market is $17 - $23 hourly.

Schedule

This position includes participation in a mandatory on-call rotation. During an assigned on-call period, Technicians are expected to respond to after-hours service requests—including evenings and weekends—with a high rate of acceptance. All after-hours service calls are compensated at a premium pay rate with guaranteed minimums.
