Roadside Technician Commercial Tires - Scarborough, ME
About the role
An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer has a tire-related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. Technicians are expected to be roadside when performing their job duties. During times with no service calls pending, Technicians will help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Service commercial tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire
- Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and correct radial runout as necessary
- Inflate tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements
- Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including proper PPE use, tire cage usage, and all other safety policies and procedures
Basic Requirements
- Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous commercial service tire experience

Pay
Starting pay: $23 – $26 hourly
Schedule
Location: 10 Ginn Road, Scarborough ME
Mandatory on-call rotation; during an on-call period, Technicians must run after-hours service calls at a 95% accept rate, including weekends and nights. After-hours service calls are paid at double-time with a minimum of 2 hours per call. Example: if a Technician accepts, arrives, and completes a call in 45 minutes, they receive an additional 1 hour 15 minutes of double-time pay.
