Roadside Technician Commercial Tires - Meridian, MS
Pay range: $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Base pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
About the Role
An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer has a tire-related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. This role is primarily roadside, but during downtime, Technicians assist with mounting orders, shop cleaning, and other general duties.
This position includes participation in a mandatory on-call rotation. During assigned on-call periods, Technicians must respond to after-hours service requests—including evenings and weekends—with a high rate of acceptance. All after-hours calls are compensated at a premium pay rate with guaranteed minimums.
No prior experience is required; full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Respond to roadside tire failures for semi-truck fleets
- Repair or replace tires at customer locations
- Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary
- Inflate tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements
- Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including proper PPE use, tire cages, and other safety policies
- Assist with mounting orders, shop cleaning, and general duties during downtime
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous commercial service tire experience
