Roadside Technician Commercial Tire - Kansas City, MO

Pay

Starting at $21 per hour for trainees and $25 per hour for experienced technicians. After‑hours service calls are compensated at a premium rate with a guaranteed two‑hour minimum and double pay per call.

Schedule

Typical shift: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Walk‑in interviews are held Tuesday‑Thursday, 10 AM – 2 PM at 1700 N Corrington Ave, Kansas City, MO. The position includes a mandatory rotating on‑call rotation for evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency tire failures for semi‑truck fleets and perform roadside repairs or replacements.
• When no service calls are pending, assist with mounting orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties as needed.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and respond to after‑hours service requests with a high acceptance rate.

Skills

• Servicing commercial tires: dismounting, mounting, repairing any tire type.
• Performing match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as required.
• Inflating tires to prescribed PSI based on load requirements.
• Following OSHA regulations and safety policies, including proper PPE use and tire cage operation.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license meeting commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous commercial service tire experience.
