Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Road Mechanic.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, perform diagnostics and make repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.

• Our fleet varies by location but primarily include Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment.
• Our specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• Some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment)
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more
• Working indoors/outdoors when required by the job

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

Pay

Base Pay Range: $22.85 - 31.41
Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.

Length of Service Awards

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date.
