Responsibilities
The Road Mechanic/Technician role at Sunbelt Rentals involves:
- Performing preventive maintenance on equipment
- Performing diagnostics and making repairs to ensure minimal downtime
- Working on a diverse fleet that can include Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment such as large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Some trade school or equivalent training preferred
- 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) preferred
- A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
Qualifications
You should possess:
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
- The ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual skills (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs

- Ability to provide mechanic’s tools of trade

Benefits eligibility begins on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt Rentals provides the following paid time off:

Pay and Schedule
Base Pay Range: $26.46 - 36.37
