Job Summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking part-time instructors to help make learning personal and inspiring for students. The position involves teaching in a small group setting, 4:1 ratio, using Sylvan curriculum. Responsibilities include lesson supervision, student interaction, reward systems, progress evaluation, and communication with center directors.

Responsibilities

• Teach using Sylvan based programs
• Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour
• Reward students for completed assignments
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Communicate student needs to the center directors
• Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan

Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours: 4-20 hours/week, Monday-Thursday 3:30-7:30 and Saturday 9:00-1:00
• Passion for making learning personal and inspiring kids to thrive
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with children or education background preferred
