Road Engineering Internship - Cincinnati, OH

About the role

American Structurepoint’s Road Group is seeking candidates to join our summer internship program in Cincinnati, OH. As a Road Intern, you’ll work as part of a close-knit team on roadway projects for ODOT, cities, towns, and counties throughout Ohio. Most of your work will take place in the office, with occasional site visits.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to roadway design by working on design calculations, roadway layouts, drainage analysis, plan production, and quantity and cost estimates
• Gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling and work with tools like MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Get involved in a wide variety of projects—everything from roundabouts and urban streets to rural roads, drainage improvements, and large interstate projects
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Student majoring in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Transportation, Hydraulics, or a related program with a focus on Civil Engineering
• Reliable transportation to and from the office
• Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, willingness to take on new challenges, and a collaborative mindset
