Road Driver

Position Overview: Responsible for picking up and delivering trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations. Key Duties Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles and triples where applicable.Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.Verify and complete documentation and maintain accurate logs.Comply with hazardous material regulations and follow dispatch instructions.May perform chaining, load/unload freight, and perform duties of city driver or dock employee as needed.Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies. Qualifications & Skills Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed.At least 1 year recent experience or successful completion of driver development course.Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.Ability to operate long combination vehicles, lift and handle trailer sets, and follow instructions.Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Working Conditions: Long-distance driving in various weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and DOT-regulated hazardous materials. Overnight stays may be required, and hours vary based on operational needs.
