Road Driver

Position Overview: Responsible for picking up and delivering trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations. Key Responsibilities: Operate tractor-trailers, including doubles and triples (if applicable). Perform daily pre-trip safety inspections, hook/unhook trailers, verify documentation, maintain logs, and comply with hazardous material regulations. Follow dispatch instructions, communicate effectively, and load/unload freight as needed. May be required to perform chaining, city driver duties, or dock work. Ensure adherence to all legal and company policies. Qualifications & Skills: Must hold a valid Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements. Experience of at least one year within the last three years or completion of a driver development course. Must meet DOT and federal regulations, possess a suitable Motor Vehicle Record, and demonstrate basic communication skills. Ability to handle trailer hookups, lift approximately 100 pounds, and work independently or in teams. Demonstrates initiative and motivation. Working Conditions: Drive long distances in various weather conditions, with exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Overnight stays and variable hours may be required.
