Purpose of Position
Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Administers and monitors patient responses to all medications. Directs and guides patient care, teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing within the realm of Hospital Policy. Maintains and delivers the highest quality customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support Certification required
- Successful passage of CCH’s Pharmacology exam
- BSN Preferred
- Five or more years of clinical nursing experience with at least two years recent (within the past 5 years) experience in chronic wound management, as evidenced by:
- Plan of care development based on wound assessment and underlying etiology;
- The ability to perform specific assessments according to protocols and procedures;
- Clinical competence in the delivery of wound care, treatment and services
- Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN), Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN) or equivalent wound care certification (as determined by management) required
- Travel for training purposes is required.
