About the role

Village Green Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Staff Nurse to join their team of dedicated health care professionals. The ideal candidate must hold an unrestricted RN license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary caregiver to residents under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, ensuring all assigned staff can provide appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents, notifying the physician of any changes and implementing and documenting new orders promptly.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize a resident's condition and prevent complications.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a care plan.

Requirements

The successful candidate must possess an unrestricted RN license.

Qualifications

Experience in long-term care or acute care settings is preferred.

Skills

Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential.
