RN - Weekender - Surgical/Oncology - Night

Position: Registered Nurse in a mixed unit of General Surgical, Oncology/Chemo, and Hospice at Elmhurst Main Hospital. Responsibilities: Provide safe, compassionate nursing care by planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred). Valid Illinois RN license and CPR certification are required. Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification within four years of hire is necessary. Prior inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred. Skills: Strong clinical assessment, teamwork, and communication skills. Ability to deliver patient-centered care across diverse populations. Key Duties: Deliver quality nursing services during weekend night shifts, including every third weekend and rotating holidays, ensuring adherence to safety and care protocols.
