About the role
Provides quality nursing patient care to Urgent Care patients under the supervision of the providers and Practice Management. RN must assess, plan, give and document nursing care. RN assists the provider with patients, including the preparation of examination rooms, preparation of the patient for the visit, such as taking vital signs and explaining procedures. Under the general direction of the provider, RN will administer medications and injections as prescribed, assist with special procedures, including minor procedures. RN is responsible for completion of all results and patient call backs within the scope of practice, following up with patients and the providers as appropriate. Assist in development and implementation of clinical nursing policies and procedures, working with appropriate system personnel to assure clinical operations comply with all Joint Commission, NYS DOH requirements and other regulatory agencies as applicable.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, provide, and document nursing care for Urgent Care patients
- Prepare examination rooms and patients for visits (e.g., take vital signs, explain procedures)
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the provider
- Assist with special and minor procedures
- Complete all results and patient call backs within scope of practice
- Follow up with patients and providers as appropriate
- Assist in developing and implementing clinical nursing policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, NYS DOH, and other regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in New York
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing
- 2-4 years of recent nursing experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in family practice, urgent care, acute care, occupational medicine, or outpatient care
- Experience using an EMR preferred

Schedule
Full time, 36 hours (3-12 hour shifts) per week, D/E with weekend requirements. Work sites will include Canandaigua, Farmington, and Newark locations.
Pay
Position Pay Range: $35-46/hour. Starting pay based on experience.
