RN Team Lead - Emergency Department - CRBH - Nights

About the role

This position is located at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital (CRBH) in Lexington, VA, working nights 7pm-7am with EOW and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical leadership and oversight for patient care delivery while supporting staff development, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes.
• Serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and team leader to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across assigned areas.
• Coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
• Affirms patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Supports staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Collaborates with leadership on fiscal management, resource allocation, and budget considerations.
• Conducts team meetings and promotes a positive, accountable work environment.
• Maintains confidentiality and exercises sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
• Responds to staffing needs, including supporting other Carilion facilities as required.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience including demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise required.
• Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
• For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within the required timeframe.
• For OB/GYN roles, EFM NCC certification required.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
• ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.
