RN- Surgical Floor (PT- 0.75 FTE, Night Shift)

This role involves working in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other healthcare team members, planning and implementing patient and family education, assessing patient needs, and initiating appropriate interventions.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation (Assessment).
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis).
• Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
• Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care).
• Implements the identified plan of care.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.
• Evaluates one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, statutes, rules, and regulations.

• Completes two hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually.
• Complies with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyper-acute and acute stroke.
• Participates in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire.
• Participates in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education.

Requirements

• Montana Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Competence in and willingness to practice modified primary nursing.
• On-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

Schedule
