Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in a Physician Practice setting delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and clinical teams. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment, monitoring, education, and preventative care for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Affirms patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients across the lifespan.
- Performs routine procedures such as eye irrigation, wound care, and dressing applications.
- Initiates emergency care and interventions in critical situations.
- Provides health education and preventive care support.
- Supports physicians with assessments, diagnostic procedures, and minor surgical procedures.
- Develops and evaluates treatment plans for patients with long-term health conditions.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participates in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (Required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
- Licenses/Certifications: Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the practicing state or compact RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: One (1) year of clinical nursing experience in a physician practice setting preferred.
