RN Supervisor Weekends

RN Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Evaluates staffing pattern needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
• Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.
• Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices.
• Observing patients, charting, and reporting changes in patients conditions.
• Answering patients calls and determining how to assist them.
• Providing basic patient care or treatments.
• Working as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions.
• Receiving, transcribing, and implementing physician’s orders.
• Implementing and evaluating care plans.
• Identifying/securing equipment supplies.
• Directing/overseeing subordinates.
• Participating in duty assignments.
• Organizing/coordinating subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
• Overseeing/monitoring function and activities of subordinate staff.
• Evaluating staff performance and instituting appropriate action (discipline/training).
• Monitoring infection control compliance.
• Investigating/documenting accidents/incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

RN Requirements

• Current, valid licensure as a RN in state of practice is required.
• Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
• Management/Supervisory experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed.
